New China Life Insurance (1336) vice president Gong Xingfeng, said sales declined sharply in February due to the coronavirus as the insurance and the company has now shifted to online sales.
The company said yesterday that net profit grew by 83.8 percent to 14.55 billion yuan in 2019 from a year before. Revenue was up by 13.3 percent to 172 billion yuan last year.
New China Life declared an annual dividend of 1.41 yuan per share.
Gross written premiums and policy fees increased by 13 percent to 138.17 billion yuan in 2019 from a year before.
