Stocks edged higher in Hong Kong at miday. The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 165.49 points at 27,895.49.
Power tools maker Techtronic Industries (0669) gained the most among blue chips, up by 2.31 percent to HK$70.80, followed by Sino Biopharmaceutical (1177) which won 2.24 percent to HK$11.86.
Shares in local developers overall advanced after offering rental relief for tenants due to the China coronavirus outbreak.
Wharf Real Estate Investment Company (1997) picked up 2.05 percent to HK$2.05 at midday, and Sun Hung Kai Properties (0016) added 1.85 percent at HK$115.90.
AAC Technologies (2018) fell by 3.22 percent at HK$57.10, becoming the biggest blue-chip percentage loser. Index heavyweight Tencent (0700) was up slightly by 0.62 percent to HK$419.
