Chu Man-kai to win medal for HK after moving to para badminton final| 4 Sep 2021 2:12 pm
Chu Man-kai is set to win a medal for Hong Kong in para badminton after moving to the final of the men's singles SH6 event.
Chu secured his place in the final after his 2-1 victory over Vitor Goncalves Tavares from Brazil. Although losing 15-21 to Tavares in the first game, Chu defeated the world number four in game two and three, winning 21-18 and 21-10.
Chu will face Krishna Nagar from India tomorrow.
As for another Hong Kong para badminton player Daniel Chan Ho-yuen, he was defeated by Kim Jung-jun from South Korea in the semi-final of men's singles WH2 event.
Chan won 21-15 in the first game, but he lost 15-21 to Kim in the next two games.
Chan will move to the bronze medal and face Kim Kyung-hoon who is also from South Korea tomorrow.
