The Hong Kong branch of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A has launched Bravo GO, passenger protection to Hong Kong commuters covering passengers in private cars, any hail-and-ride such as taxi, GoGoVan, SuperCab, and Uber, as well as any public transport ranging from bus, minibus, railway, airplane, and ferry.
Every day in Hong Kong, about 12.9 million passenger journeys are made on a public transport system which includes railways, buses, trams, taxies and ferries according to the government, with over 74 percent of people spending more than two hours on public transport each day.
Every year, Hong Kong recorded as many as 16,000 road traffic accidents.
The company said that for less than HK$1 per day, customers can enjoy worldwide coverage up to HK$500,000 personal accident protection while commuting.
Customers can also extend Bravo GO’s coverage to their family members, be it a new born or a senior at age of 70 years, for HK$799 annually.
