Peter Woo raises holdings in SHKP, Henderson LandBusiness | 10 Sep 2019 3:03 pm
Corrington Securities & Investment, a broker reportedly owned by Wharf Holdings (0004) senior counsel Peter Woo Kwong-ching's family, increased holdings in Sun Hung Kai Properties (0016) and Henderson Land Development (0012) one week before the withdrawal of the extradition bill, local media reports says.
Corrington's stake in SHKP increased by 1.13 million to 6.99 million on September 3 from August 27, data from the stock exchange showed.
The cost involved in share purchases could be more than HK$121.4 million, based on the developer's share price on September 3 of HK$107.9.
Shares of SHKP dipped by 0.26 percent to HK$113.9 as of 13:56 p.m, which means the gain from the stake could be about HK$6.8 million.
The former chairman of the property giant wrote in a commentary in local media a month before that there is no point arguing whether the anti-extradition bill is dead or not, since the demand of protesters had been accepted by the government in July.
