Hong Kong stocks barely moved by mid day today. The Hang Seng Index was up by 0.03 percent, or 8.67 points at 27,721.21.
Shares in index heavyweight Tencent (0700) rebounded in the morning session, up by 1.32 percent to HK$337.20.
i-cable communications (1097) continued to surge, up by 44.44 percent to HK$0.26, after the company announced a long-term strategic partnership with China Mobile Hong Kong.
CMMB Vision Holdings (0471) gained by 17.65 percent to HK$0.14, after the company said its deployment of the satellite multimedia connected-car business in China is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Pork producer WH Group (0288) fell by 1.48 percent amid continuing news of the spread of African swine fever in mainland China.
