HK sees two imported cases and suspends flights from Istanbul

Hong Kong recorded two new imported cases today and suspended flights from Istanbul by Turkish Airlines for two weeks after three passengers on the flight tested positive with Covid-19.
The two imported cases involved two women, aged 39 and 44. They arrived in the city from Indonesia and didn’t develop any symptoms.
Besides, three passengers arrived in Hong Kong on April 27, on flight TK083 operated by Turkish Airlines from Istanbul, and tested positive with the coronavirus when they underwent arrival tests.
The Department of Health then suspended passenger flights from Istanbul run by Turlish Airlines for two weeks, from May 3 to 16.
Today marks the second day of the city with no local infection and the daily briefing is not held.
The city’s tally now stands at 11,785.
