Scouts under scrutiny for 100-person Kowloon banquet

Authorities are investigating the Scout Association of Hong Kong for allegedly hosting a banquet that drew more than 100 in breach of coronavirus prevention rules.

The banquet had been held on Saturday at the association's headquarters on 8 Austin Road in Jordan. The banquet had 34 tables to seat more than 100 people, exceeding the limit of 20 people palced the by the Home Affairs Department.

The Office of the Licensing Authority (OLA) and the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department are investigating.
