Hong Kong recorded an unknown source local Covid-19 infection after five days, as Chief Secretary Matthew Cheung Kin-chung said citizens have lowered their guards against the epidemic.

The unknown source local infection was among six new patients to be announced in the 4.30pm press briefing today.

Cheung wrote in his blog that under relaxation of health measures, citizens have been going out more and not paying as much attention to infection control, as he noticed restaurants have skipped body temperature checks and cater to customers more than half of the eateries' capacity.

There have also been violation of the four-person social gathering cap, in particular places where foreign domestic helpers gather on weekends.
