11 HK passengers aboard Diamond Princess infected with virus

The Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said today 11 Hong Kong passengers of the Diamond Princess, the cruise ship quarantined in Japan, have been tested positive for the coronavirus.

She added that there are 330 Hong Kong people aboard the ship, and 260 of them are SAR passport holders.

Meanwhile, 2,200 Hong Kong people who are stranded in 30 cities in Hubei province have sought assistance from the Hong Kong government, and 10 of them have been infected with the virus and are being treated at local hospitals.

The government will make arrangements for them to return home, Lam said.
