When President Donald Trump called during his inauguration speech for people to "buy American and hire American," he apparently forgot to tell his daughter Ivanka, sparking claims he was "very hypocritical."

Customs records show from his November 8 election win through February 26, more than two tonnes of her branded polyester woven blouses, 1,600 cowhide wallets and 23 tonnes of footwear were among at least 82 shipments that arrived at US ports from China. In fact, more than 1,200 Trump- branded shipments have flowed in from China and Hong Kong in the past decade.

When Nordstrom said in February it would stop carrying her products, citing poor sales, he lashed out at the store chain. An aide even famously urged Americans buy her products, and they did just that, according to the Washington Post.

Last month, she sat in as her dad discussed "tough policies" with moguls from a dozen US firms to bring "jobs back." Two days later, more than 5,000 Ivanka Trump polyester blouses arrived in New Jersey. And at least one southern China shoe factory has received an order for 10,000 shoes for next season, China's Global Times reported.
