Cool week calls for jacketsCentral Station | Cissy So 3 Dec 2019
Brr! It's going to be a cold week, as the weatherman says the temperature will dip to 12 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
The influence of the northeast monsoon will bring cooler weather to southern China in the coming days, while the weather will be fine and cool this morning and during the night. But it will be very dry during the day - with the lowest temperature expected to be 14 degrees in the urban areas and a few degrees lower in the New Territories. The maximum will be about 20 degrees. Tomorrow's temperatures and weather should see more of the same.
"The lowest temperature will drop to 13 degrees on Thursday as an intense replenishment of the monsoon is expected to reach the coast of Guangdong that day, along with a few rain patches, then followed by another drop to the lowest of 12 degrees on Sunday," said Hong Kong Observatory's scientific officer Leung Yan-yu. "The monsoon will start to weaken next week, bringing warm weather again."
