Rocking around the Christmas treeOverseas Property | Ivy Ong-Wood 14 Nov 2019
Now more than ever, there is a need for the Lion Rock spirit. Show your love for the city with Hong Kong-themed Christmas items from The Lion Press.
Due to popular demand, the eco-friendly local stationer has expanded its signature Christmas hanging decorations range for the fifth year running. Among the new items in this year's collection are Hong Kong icons such as wonton noodles, a vintage green tram and egg waffles (from HK$100). The baubles are also available in sets of four (HK$350).
Also new this year is the 1,000-piece double-sided puzzle (HK$260). Suitable for all ages, the completed puzzle features an illustrated collage of local life on one side and a macro photograph of a Tai O temple wall by Eurasian photographer John Alexander on the other.
For the little ones, there are wooden push-along vehicles (HK$100). They can be played with on the new build-your-own track washi tape (HK$150). Made from rice paper printed with non-toxic ink, they comprise three Hong Kong-inspired modes of transport: road, railway and runway.
Those who like to jot down their thoughts will be delighted to find new notebooks under the tree. Choices include My Three Year Time Capsule for kids and Five-Year Memory Diary for grown-ups(HK$250 each).
