Light up someone's life

Technology | Ivy Ong-Wood 7 Nov 2019

Don't throw away your blown light bulbs. They can be used to brighten some elderly person's life as part of Chinachem Group's Light Upcycled Art-for-All program.

It will donate HK$10 for every used light bulb or tube, as part of its Mission 50000 pledge, collected from now until December 31 to St James' Settlement for its home improvement project for deprived elderly program, which aims to increase the energy efficiency of household lighting for seniors.

It will also be holding light displays and public art projects such as a pop-up Upcycling Art Exhibition and upcycling workshops.

Drop off your bulbs at 17 collection points or visit the campaign website (www.chinachemgroup.com/en/lightupcycledart) to sign up for Mission 50000. Receive a L'hotel HK$100 dining e-voucher when you pledge.
