Held every two years, the recent Tokyo Motor Show was arranged for the first time in three different venues around the Tokyo Big Sight and Odaiba district, including the Aomi and Ariake areas. The Mega Web, itself a Toyota-owned exhibition complex, was also a venue.

Car reviewer Daniel Pang of Sing Tao Daily said covering this year's Tokyo Motor Show was a more physically demanding experience than this year's Frankfurt show, despite the free bus rides offered by the organizers. His job was made more difficult by the fact that the venues were teeming with local and overseas reporters for the one and a half press days.

Yet, despite fewer exhibitors (notably foreign brands) and cars on display, Pang felt the show offered a lot for car enthusiasts to experience.

As far as automotive exhibits are concerned, the year's Tokyo Motor Show was very much about electrified models. Here are some selected cars:
