TVB reporters feel protest heatCentral Station | 13 Aug 2019
TVB's news department, which has been at the center of protest censorship allegations lately, has been rocked by how some of its own reporters have responded to Hong Kong's troubles.
Eight reporters have apparently tendered their resignations recently, including Patrick Cheung Ka-ho, who chased after an undercover policeman in Tsim Sha Tsui on Sunday. A TVB spokesman confirmed that "several" reporters have resigned and said the reason was attacks by protesters on the broadcaster's personnel and its vehicles. He added that the station respects its reporters' thinking, especially how young female reporters may fear for their personal safety.
