One Piece and Ocean Park team up

Ocean Park has worked with popular Japanese anime series One Piece to present its Summer Water Battle attraction that will run from tomorrow until September 1.

The water battle party will feature seven One Piece-themed water attractions, including the epic Battle of Marineford at the "Ultimate One Piece Water War," "Bounty Posters," which has interactive elements, and a water curtain in the form of "Luffy's Straw Hat."

Ocean Park chief executive Matthias Li Sing-chung said this year marks the 20th anniversary of One Piece, so the park prepared the water battle party for fans to reminisce about the iconic scenes.

It will be the largest ever One Piece-themed event in Hong Kong, with food and beverages based on the series located at restaurants and kiosks at the park.

Exclusive collectibles will also be available at souvenir shops and game booths.

"We hope to create amazing, fun-filled surprises for guests and One Piece fans," Li said.

He estimates over a million people will visit.

Hong Kong residents can get a buy-2-get-1-free special offer between tomorrow and September 1, where they can get three adult tickets at HK$996 or three child tickets at HK$498 at the ticketing office or its website. The park's "Ultimate One Piece Water War" will take place at Waterfront Plaza, recreating scenes from the series' epic water battle - the Battle of Marineford.

Visitors can form a group of eight to enter the attraction and join the Straw Hat crew to battle against the Marines.

With water guns in their hands, they will pass through a waterfall, a water jet tunnel, a water cave, a jet maze and other challenges, all the while getting soaked from the Marines' water cannons and sudden attacks.

At the "Straw Hat Crew Meet-Up" at Waterfront Plaza, visitors can meet and take photos with One Piece characters, including Luffy and Chopper.

The Waterfront Plaza's "Bounty Posters" will feature interactive water elements for fans to enjoy and take photos, giving them a taste of life as a pirate with a bounty on their heads.
