Wedding of your dreams

The Princess wedding gown is no longer the only dream dress for women of today and many opt for one from Israeli brands and other favorites such as Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta.

Galia Lahav, represented by Trinity Bridal in Hong Kong, stands out from a variety of Israeli brands. Celebrities like pianist Lang Lang's wife, Gina Alice Redlinger, and the 2009 winner of the Miss Chinese International Pageant, Christine Kuo, wear them.

Made with exquisite craft, its designs show off the perfect curves of a bride.

Inspired by Portugal's romantic Latin culture, its latest Alegria fall couture collection puts an emphasis on silhouette to highlight the female figure with glittering lace, tulle and silk fabrics. Its delicate embroideries exude a refined note of femininity.

The new series of Lavish by Persy, which is under the helm of Israeli designer Yaniv Persy, is brought to Hong Kong by bridal salon Central Weddings. With a botanic creative core, it stands out with intricate details of hand embroidery and floral trims, while the adoption of glittery tulle leaves a weightless and graceful impression.

There is also a tailoring service to modify the ratio between waist-line and length of the gown, making it even more friendly to Asian brides for stepped-up elegance.

But to look stunning from top to bottom, matching accessories and shoes are the key. The recent trend in bridal accessories goes for simplicity, which make it easier to pair with daily wear.

As for shoes, big names like Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weitzman and Rene Caovilla are now stepping up the game to launch their own bridal collections, dressing the heels up with pearls, crystals and feathers for brides to shine on their big day.
