Brigade Court: a collection of new build and period conversion homes

Formerly home to The London Fire Brigade, UK developer Hadston Southward Limited has launched its latest development, Brigade Court. The community will offer a collection of new-build and period-conversion studio, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and duplexes.

The original 19th-century Headquarter of the London Fire Brigade, located in London Zone 1, has been rescued from dereliction and revamped into a community-minded redevelopment that brings 199 homes, a new secondary school, a sports center and green space.

Brigade Court benefits from great transport links with Borough, Southwark and the newly renovated London Bridge station, all just a short walk away. The development is also perfectly located to benefit from everything Borough has to offer, from Borough Market, Tate Modern, and Shakespeare's Globe to fascinating landmarks like The Shard and its many world class bars, restaurants and cafes. Brigade Court is right in the heart of a neighbourhood tapped into what's hip in the London Capital.

Built in 1878, the iconic fire station buildings have been restored to their former glory, creating a bold yet classic face of the development. Connecting the past, present and future through a mix of Grade II listed buildings and the finest contemporary architecture, Brigade Court is also set around a central courtyard for a traditionally different take on modern living.

The development is home to a new exclusive community on the south side of the Thames. The units are in the distinctive red-brick Victorian buildings, which, along with the former fire station, are comprised of 35 period conversions and 163 new build apartments rising to the 9th floor.

The fire station doors will open up to a new destination restaurant while a new 1150 secondary school - Haberdasher' Askes - will be built adjoining Brigade Court. Across the road, a suite of new sports facilities and landscaped gardens will be welcoming the new community.

The interiors of Brigade Court were designed by 1.61 London. Each apartment is finished to a high specification throughout, as each kitchen is also individually tailored in its design with bespoke grey oak and matt white cabinetry, silestone quartz worktops, stone splashback, Bosch appliances and integrated wine cooler.

Bedrooms are carpeted in natural luxury light grey carpet and full height fitted wardrobes in grey/white oak. Residents at Brigade Court can look forward to luxurious bathrooms fully tiled with large format grey porcelain floor and wall tiles and a black chevron tiled feature wall. All apartments also come with underfloor heating, comfort cooling and video entry system.

Prices for Brigade Course start from 640,000 (HK$6.4 million) and the development is launching in Hong Kong on June 1 at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.
