It won't be heartache when Tyler belts tunesLocal | Staff Reporter 28 Dec 2018
Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler will perform her greatest hits at a concert aboard a luxury cruise liner sailing out of Hong Kong next month.
The concert will be held on January 19 on World Dream, which will set sail from the SAR.
World Dream will depart Kai Tak Cruise Terminal on January 18 at about 9pm for a weekend cruise, returning on Sunday at 9am.
The Grammy Award-nominated singer will serenade fans at the Zodiac Theater with her distinctive husky voice, belting out hits such as Total Eclipse of the Heart, It's a Heartache, Faster than the Speed of the Night, and Holding Out for a Hero.
Since Tyler, 67, seldom holds concerts in Asia, tickets for her cruise ship concert will sell like hotcakes, as the theater hall only accommodates 990 people.
The only way to obtain tickets is to book balcony cabins that are higher than other cabin categories. Two complimentary tickets will be offered to those patrons while stock lasts, and guests have to redeem the tickets after they board.
Tickets for theconcert have been available since December 10, and can be bought through World Dream's official website and travel agencies.
There will be two more concerts aboard Genting Dream - a sister ship of World Dream - in Singapore on January 22 and 24.
Tyler shot to fame after releasing her album, The World Starts Tonight, in 1977. And she became even more renowned when It's a Heartache swept across Europe and the United States the following year.
She was one of the few Western female singers to perform in the former Soviet Union, holding a tour in Leningrad - now Saint Petersburg - in 1988.
