Expo's back with a party kick

It's party time at the Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo as it celebrates its 80th birthday.

Kicking off the countdown were the 10 contestants in the Miss Exhibition Pageant were unveiled at yesterday's press conference, above.

The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong is rolling out an array of offers marking the expo's longevity and community ties.

CMA president Dennis Ng said. "We will honor this important milestone by rewarding visitors from Hong Kong and around the world, and demonstrating in the spirit of the CMA our commitment to promoting Hong Kong's industries and social harmony."

On December 15, the first day of the Victoria Park Expo, HK$80 lucky bags will be sold which contain products with a total value of HK$8,000. There are also HK$80 air-conditioners (value HK$5,480).

Crazy sales will attract crowds of bargain hunters.

CMA has joins with HKTVMall to roll out a pre-sale promotion from December 8 to January 6.

The 24-day expo will also be packed with stage programs for all ages, including Chinese opera, live radio programs, singing and a police band.
