Queen rolls back the years in ride of life

Central Station | 19 Nov 2018

Slowing down ever so slightly, Queen Elizabeth took advantage of the pleasant fall English weather on the weekend to do something she's enjoyed since age three - horseback riding.

The 92-year-old was seen trotting at a glacial pace through Windsor on a black horse, next to a royal aide. Her youngest son, Prince Edward, 54, was galloping around on his mount.

The queen was previously spotted riding on her estate at Balmoral in September. In April, when Britain was eagerly waiting for Kate Middleton to give birth to her third child, the queen occupied herself by riding around Windsor.

She is also a keen and successful racehorse owner. In 2017, her prize money over the past 40 years neared 7 million (HK$70.3 million).
