Klay Thompson scored 27 points as the Golden State Warriors stretched their NBA winning streak to eight games with a 117-101 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Thompson was one of five Golden State players in double-digits as the defending champions overcame a sluggish start to wrap up victory at their Oracle Arena.

After the first half finished at 58-58, the Warriors outscored the Grizzlies by 34-15 in the third quarter, effectively killing off the game. The victory leaves the Warriors on top of the Western Conference with a 10-1 record.

In Denver, the Nuggets maintained their hot streak with Jamal Murray scoring 48 points in a 115-107 victory over the Boston Celtics.

Murray also had four assists and five rebounds as the Warriors improved to 9-1.

The Toronto Raptors, led by Kyle Lowry's 17 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds, maintained their grip on the Eastern Conference lead with a 115-107 win over the Utah Jazz.
