No sign of Red Sox alarm amid claims of Astros trickery

Sports | 18 Oct 2018

Boston manager Alex Cora is aware of reports that Major League Baseball is probing a Houston Astros employee's use of a camera near the Red Sox dugout in their American League Championship Series opener.

According to reports, the man was seen using a camera and texting, with speculation that the Astros were stealing Red Sox signs.

"We don't get caught up on the whole paranoia thing of the signs," Cora said in Houston after the Red Sox beat the Astros 8-2 to take a 2-1 series lead. "If we feel there's something going on we switch the signs."

He added that he didn't have any feeling that the Astros had cracked the Red Sox signs.
