In October 2018, Singapore Airlines commemorate 60 years of services in Hong Kong. Leading the industry in premium air travel, Singapore Airlines recently introduced its new and improved A380 cabin products to Hong Kong, and ups the game in inflight entertainment and onboard culinary experience.

Space makes personal
With the philosophy of 'Maintaining a modern aircraft fleet is the key to overall capacity growth and fleet renewal strategy', Singapore Airlines keeps evolving its products, in the aspects of comfort, design, in-flight experience, and servicing element.
The new A380 cabin products can seat up to 471 customers in four classes, featuring 6 newly designed first class Suites, 78 in Business Class, 44 in Premium Economy Class and 343 in Economy Class.
There are six exclusive enclosed Suites with sliding doors, each occupies up to 50 sq. ft, and double bed Suites are available for couples. The bed and electrically-controlled plush leather chair are separated, which allow guests to deploy both facilities at ease.
Business Class cabin features thoughtful designs that tailored to enhance passengers' comfort and convenience. Seats are now reclined into a full-flat bed of 78" length, with center seats can be converted to double beds. Besides, the adoption of carbon fiber composite shell structure creates a thinner base structure and allows more space for under-seat storage.
Premium Economy Class will have its own separate zone in the forward section of the main deck, constructing an enhanced sense of privacy; while Economy Class will have the latest design technology, providing more knee clearance and personal space. Passengers will enjoy greater comfort with the adjustable headrest and foldable wings at each side.

Striving to maintain its premium position as one of the leaders among the world's digital airlines, Singapore Airlines has invested generously to innovate a contemporary flight experience.
Guests can now enjoy a high-definition touch screen in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems, with a personalized experience offered by the CompanionApp. The CompanionApp is a mobile application for both iOS and Android devices, which offers guests greater control over their IFE experience, even before boarding.
Moreover, linking the app to the IFE system enables the personal devices to be employed as a remote control, to pause, play or skip through media content. It can also offer content recommendations based on customer preferences, bookmark and resume unfinished content (Services are subjected to membership status).
"Keeping up with our customers' digital lifestyle, passengers can now save their Singapore Airlines boarding pass on their mobile devices through Google Pay, and receive WhatsApp notifications on their flight details," Chia adds.
Debut the world's first Airbus A350-900ULR
Singapore Airlines has successfully taken delivery of the world's first Airbus A350-900ULR (ultra-long-range) aircraft from Airbus. It is the first of seven A350-900ULRs on firm order and will enter service on 11 October 2018 - operating the world's longest commercial flight between Singapore and Newark Liberty International Airport.
The new A350-900ULR is capable of flying up to 9,700 nautical miles, or over 20 hours non-stop. The flight to New York will cover a distance of approximately 9,000nm (16,700km), with travelling time of up to 18 hours 45 minutes.
With client comfort and peace of mind, this quiet aircraft is configured in a two-class layout, with 67 Business Class seats and 94 Premium Economy Class seats, leaving more space for each cabin. It also combines the world-renowned in-flight product of Singapore Airlines to ensure the highest levels of passenger comfort on the world's very longest routes.
