New Prudential services debut

Prudential Hong Kong launched two innovative portals, namely "Hospital to Prudential" and "Chatbot Claims," which will help redefine the way consumers and medical professionals manage hospital claims in the city, said Sam Lim, chief transformation officer.

Prudential also extended its chatbot capabilities to enable financial consultants to submit hospital claims for clients. "Smart insurance is the trend for insurance companies," said Eddie Chang, chief executive of Wesurance.

Wesurance launched its mobile insurance app jointly with Allied World Assurance Co and TransUnion.

"Twenty out of 80 insurance companies in Hong Kong expect at least 10 percent of their revenue [to be raised] from non-traditional means, which is digital chain," said Philip Kwan, vice president and head of the accident and health division at Allied World.
