Leicester young guns to return for Soccer SevensSports | 14 Mar 2018
Leicester City will return to defend their HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens title in May.
Last year's runners-up and six-time winners Aston Villa will join Leicester in the seven-a-side tournament at Hong Kong Football Club on May 18-20.
"It's with great pleasure that we welcome back Leicester City and Aston Villa," tournament director Chris Plowman said.
"With a record 10 professional teams due from all over the world to face clubs from Hong Kong, including hosts HKFC, we are confident the standard of the competition will be as high as ever."
Leicester beat Villa 3-0 in last year's final to claim the title for the second time. They also triumphed in 2013, beating Newcastle in the title decider.
"Following our success last May, the Development Squad have impressed domestically," said Ian Cawley, the Leicester City Academy manager.
He added that the tournament is "always of an extremely high standard" and offers a "useful week of competition for our young players."
