Commuters boarded an MTR train with a startlingly different look yesterday morning. But there was nothing planned about it: graffiti made it a train apart.
The East Rail train came in for treatment by one or more intruders at Sha Tin station yesterday.
The graffiti was discovered by an MTR staffer named Tam, who called police, but there was no time to restore the train to its usual look before it had to get moving.
It headed for Hung Hom but concluded its run one stop sooner than scheduled at Mong Kok East station, where passengers had to alight. Many praised the quality of the graffiti.
Investigators from Sha Tin are now trying to track the artist or artists.
