Two central government liaison office deputy directors have retired, with the State Council announcing yesterday that the two - Yin Xiaojing, 61, and Lin Wu, 62 - had passed the statutory retirement age of 60.
Yin, from Hebei, taught energy and power engineering at Beijing universities. She also worked at the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the United Front Work Department of the central committee from 2000 to 2010, before her liaison office appointment.
Lin, a mechanical engineer, worked at the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress office from 1995 to 2001 before moving to the office as deputy chief for New Territories affairs. From 2006 to 2012, he was the chief for Kowloon affairs and was promoted to deputy director.
