It's in black and white: Obama's king TweeterCentral Station | 7 Dec 2017
Former US president Barack Obama trumps, pun intended, Tweeter-in-chief Donald Trump with the most popular post this year.
Twitter's top-10 list of retweeted messages had three from Obama, but none from President Donald Trump despite his prolific use of the platform. But Trump can take some consolation for being the elected leader most tweeted about.
Obama's tweet on the day of a deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, generated the most "likes," 4.6 million as of this week. It showed a photo of a racially diverse group of children looking out a window as Obama smiled back, and a quote from South Africa's Nelson Mandela.
It was the second most retweeted, behind one from a teen trying to win a year's supply of chicken nuggets from Wendy's.
