Jimenez returning to HK for tilt at title No 5Sports | 10 Nov 2017
Four-time champion Miguel Angel Jimenez has confirmed his participation in the UBS Hong Kong Open, which tees off in two weeks' time at Fanling.
As the only player to have won the event multiple times since it became part of the European Tour, Jimenez will be banking on his familiarity with the Hong Kong Golf Club course in his bid for a perfect start to the new season.
"It's a great golf course where you have to control the ball very well, it's not a matter of distance, and that makes for an enjoyable week," the Spaniard said. "I can't wait to return again to go for title No 5."
Jimenez, 55, will line up against a stellar field led by fellow Spaniard and Masters champion Sergio Garcia, former winner Justin Rose and current Race to Dubai leader Tommy Fleetwood.
Paul Dunne, Matthew Fitzpatrick, and Li Haotong - three of the most exciting young stars on tour - will also tee off in the November 23-26 tournament.
The event is co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours.
