A Hong Kong-born teenager who enjoys hanging out with friends and has a passion for music and playing the piano and guitar, has become one of Britain's youngest graduates.

While attending Queensferry High School near Edinburgh, 13-year-old Wang Pok-lo completed an Open University course in the United States during his spare time and graduated with a first-class honors degree.

He has now enrolled at Sheffield University to read statistics with medical applications for his master's.

Wang was doing sums as a two- year-old and passed his Advanced Higher Maths exams when he was only 11. He moved to Scotland from Hong Kong in 2006.

"I was really happy, even getting 100 percent on one of the modules," he said. "I do enjoy doing maths but it is getting very challenging."
