Investment boss dies

Liu Lit-mo, chairman and executive director of Liu Chong Hing Investment (0194), died on July 12 at an age of 79.

The company said in a notice that Liu passed away peacefully at Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital. Liu was a founding director of the company and had served as chairman since 2009.

He was also the managing director from November 1972 to February 2014.

Liu was the third son of the banker Liu Po-shan, founder of Liu Chong Hing Bank, now known as Chong Hing Bank (1111). He and his two brothers, Liu Lit-man and Liu Lit-for, helped the company overcome a bank-run crisis in 1961.
