The Open University has a new vice president.
Tong Chong-sze, secretary-general of Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, will take up the post on September 18.
The university praised Tong as a "seasoned leader with substantial academic and administration experience."
Tong has headed HKEAA since 2011 and has been involved in the crucial switchover to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education examination.
He has a doctorate from Cambridge and joined the Baptist University in 1992. He was behind HKBU's snaring March Tian Boedihardjo, a math prodigy, in 2007 at the record age of nine.
OUHK said it is confident the university will "scale to the next level of excellence" with Tong's help.
