Chief executive hopeful Woo Kwok- hing considers Financial Secretary John Tsang Chun-wah his biggest rival but said he was a better candidate as it is still not clear when Tsang can announce his candidacy.
Woo targets the 325 votes from the pan-democrats in the Election Committee. He believes things would work out fine if he could win half of the votes from the pro-democracy camp. Support from at least 150 members of the EC is needed to be nominated.
Woo also said he has lost nearly seven kilograms since entering the race, as he has become preoccupied with reading and studying documents. He joked that it was a "Woo diet."
