Luxury hotel on track

Rosewood Hong Kong, owned by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, will open in 2018 in Tsim Sha Tsui at the former New World Centre, which was demolished in 2011.

The hotel will occupy 27 floors of the multi-use tower owned by New World Development (0017). It will offer 398 rooms, eight dining options, a fitness center, swimming pool and an executive lounge. Rosewood Residences, offering 199 luxury suites on the top 19 floors of the tower, will offer same facilities with special services and amenities.Separately, NWS Holdings (0659) spent HK$1.38 billion for the remaining 50 percent of NWS Transport Services from Chow Tai Fook Enterprises.

After the acquisition, NWS Transport Services will be a wholly owned unit of NWS Holdings.
