Polo match
If not for the special hue of blue, which the automaker calls cornflower blue, you are forgiven not to have spotted the fact that the pictures here show the "new" Polo from Volkswagen.

Actively economical
If you rack up serious mileage in your car, then fuel cost must be an important factor when you consider a replacement. You must know that diesel engines are known for their economy, right?

End of The Road
One of my most memorable test drives included a run up my secret Road to Nowhere in a Subaru WRX STI. The Road to Nowhere is like a mini-highway, narrow and winding, but boasting center lines and regular signage.

Wraith squadron
Rolls-Royce motor cars presented Asia's first touring exhibition of the brand in Hong Kong, hosting an exclusive brand showcase at the iconic Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, for two days early last month.

Fiesta time
Once a Ford person, always a Ford person - I cannot prove if this is always true, but I am definitely a case in point. I was conceived in a Ford, born in a Ford (1938 Coupe), and raised with a series of Ford half-ton pickups as the family cars.

Style reborn
With two million units of the first generation on roads worldwide, Nissan has announced the launch of the 2014 second-generation Qashqai in Hong Kong, courtesy of Honest Motors.

Follow the leader
Audi has always been ahead of the market - I recall the Hong Kong launch of the first Audi A8 with MMI. One of my friends was so impressed, he actually bought the car just to have the MMI. Please note: he already had an A8!

Art that moves you
For more than 40 years, the BMW Group has initiated and engaged in more than 100 cultural projects worldwide. Previously a key sponsor of ART HK, BMW has been the official automotive partner of the Art Basel show in Hong Kong since 2013.

Well-kept secret
In October 1989, in Tokyo, we witnessed the world premiere of the Infiniti Q45 and its Lexus counterpart. In early 1990 we saw the Hong Kong launch of the Lexus, but not a peep from Infiniti. We heard the Q45 was launched in the United States and selling well.

Lone ranger
To me, this half-car, half-truck Ford Ranger means a rough-terrain vehicle combined with car-like comfort. You have comfortable seats for friends or work crew, plus the cargo compartment for sports gear or building materials.
