A film depicting Bruce Lee through the eyes of his former girlfriends is being made for a museum which will celebrate the life of the martial arts superstar.
An eight-minute trailer for the biopic, directed by veteran filmmaker Ng See- yuen, was shown yesterday at the launch of a design competition for the restoration of Lee's former home in Kowloon Tong.
The trailer featured actresses Betty Ting Pei and Nora Miao Ker-hsiu talking about their relationships with the kung fu icon, who died in Ting's home on July 20, 1973 at the age of 32.
"Bruce Lee died in his dreams. I always feel like we lived in a dream," Ting says.

Miao recalls that while making a film with Lee in Italy, Lee would always hold her hand in public to let men attracted to her know that she was taken.
Lee's brother Robert Lee Chun-fai tells how his sibling had many girlfriends.
"Whoever he decided to go out with would anger the rest, so most of the time he just took me," he said.
Also featured were actors and filmmakers such as Raymond Chow Man-wai, Woo Fung, Tam Ping-man, Michael Hui Koon-Man and Ivan Ho Sau-shun.
The design competition is organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, Hong Kong Institute of Planners and Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and is backed by the Tourism Commission.
Lee's home at 41 Cumberland Road in Kowloon Tong was last used as a love motel with rooms for rent by the hour.
Tycoon Yu Pang-lin is donating the property to the government and has also put up HK$100,000 in prize money for the winning design.
"I hope I can personally witness and oversee the completion of the museum in my lifetime," Yu, who is in his 80s, said yesterday as he marked the 36th anniversary of Lee's death.
The restored residence hopes to include an exhibition hall, audio-visual room, kung-fu corner, library and a souvenir counter.
Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Rita Lau Ng Wai-lan said Lee's relatives and friends had been asked to donate memorabilia.
Those interested should register by August 31 and submit their entries by October 15. The results will be announced after being reviewed by a seven-member panel which includes Lee's daughter, Shannon.
