They kept it quiet for months but Wills' and Kate's little secret is finally out. And his name is Lupo.Prince William's wife Kate - or Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge - let slip the name of their cocker spaniel puppy while chatting with children on a visit to a primary school in Oxford, central England.
A spokesman for the couple confirmed the name but would not say why they plumped for Lupo, which is Italian for wolf.
It is believed that the puppy is living at their home near the RAF Valley base on Anglesey, northwest Wales, where William, 29, second in line to the British throne, has been working as a Royal Air Force search and rescue helicopter pilot for more than a year.
The puppy, which they bought a few months ago, is keeping Kate company as William serves a controversial six- week tour of duty in the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic.
