Chief executive candidate Albert Ho is clearly enjoying rival Henry Tang's troubles. Ho's latest election video, entitled A Simple Life, has a section that revolves around a teenager, Ar Kuen, who asks maid Tao Jie to carry his schoolbag. They just happen to be passing the Tang house in Kowloon Tong as a media storm is breaking over the basement there and Henry Tang is pointing a finger of blame at his wife. Tao Jie loses her cool and uses a feather duster to admonish Ar Kuen about taking responsibility.
"How ridiculous you are to ask someone to carry the bag for you," she yells. "Don't you have shoulders and a backbone?"
Ar Kuen tries to escape and shouts: "Don't hit me! I will report this to grandpa." (This is an allusion to the central government.) Tao Jie then chases after Ar Kuen, shouting: "How dare you betray women!"
The full video, in two parts and styled on the movie You Are the Apple of My Eye, makes fun of the whole pro- establishment camp with chief executive hopeful Leung Chun-ying also in the firing line.
