A yoga instructor allegedly molested five female students using the excuse of stretching their tendons and "transferring air" to them through a set of breathing exercises, the District Court was told.

Man Fung, 64, denies 15 counts of indecent assault. He has been operating the Hong Kong China Yoga Association in Tsuen Wan for about 10 years together with his wife.

The youngest alleged victim, identified as E, told Deputy District Judge Anthony Kwok Kai-on that Man molested her on three occasions between November 2006 and May last year. The first incident happened when she was 15.

E said she did not immediately report the incidents, thinking Man was a professional who would not assault her on purpose. She only came forward when a yoga classmate asked if she thought Man was being "lecherous."

Four other alleged victims, aged between 18 and 24, claimed Man indecently assaulted them between July 2006 and May 2007. Man allegedly kissed and touched their navels and private parts with the excuse of "transferring air" to improve their body circulation - an exercise he described as Qigong.
