Most of us will know mainland firm Bawang International from its television commercial for shampoo which stars Jackie Chan Kong-sang. But the company, which plans to list in Hong Kong next month, said the shampoo only accounts for one-third of its success.
"Our high-quality products and business strategy also led to our success," chief executive Wan Yuhua said. A new commercial promoting another line of shampoo featuring singer Faye Wong will air soon.
Bawang in Chinese means "overlord" - the goal is to be the leader in the shampoo business.
