HKMA to provide mediation service
(10-31 18:52)
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority today announced it has appointed the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre to provide mediation and arbitration services to Lehman-related products investors.

The service will help resolve questions of compensation between investors in such products and distributing banks, the watchdog said.

The HKMA will co-ordinate referrals and pay a share of the fee for these services on behalf of investors whose complaints have already been referred by the HKMA to the Securities and Futures Commission, or whose complaint has resulted in a finding against a relevant individual or executive officer by either the HKMA or the SFC.
