(Fencing) Hong Kong grabs first gold at Youth Olympics
(08-21 11:22)

Hong Kong picked up their first gold medal at the Youth Games in Nanjing. Ryan Choi and Albert Chien shared the top of the podium with four other Asian fencers after beating the Europeans in the mixed continental team event.

The victory was extra sweet for Choi who got his revenge in a duel against Andrzej Rzadkowski, the junior champion fencer who beat him a day earlier in the individual final.

Elsewhere in the Games, the Hong Kong table tennis player Doo Hoi-kem just missed out on gold, losing 4-1 to China's Liu Gaoyang. --RTHK
