ATV fined for accounting non-compliance

Asia Television Limited, also known as ATV, has been fined HK$50,000 by the Communications Authority, as it failed to submit the the latest annual audited accounts of the broadcaster to the authority.
The authority "took a serious view of the repeated breach by ATV of the same lisence requirement within a space of eight months'', it said in a statement.
In November 2013, the Authority decided to impose a penalty of HK$200,000 on ATV for failing to submit the audited accounts for four accounting years from 2009 to 2012. The HK$200,000 financial penalty comprised HK$50,000 for each contravention per accounting year, it said.
