Ng not seeking new term as LegCo FC chair
(07-30 18:58)

The chairman of the Legislative Council's Finance Committee, Ng Leung-sing, says he won't be standing for re-election as committee chair when it resumes its meetings in October after the summer break.
He made the sudden announcement during a news conference reviewing the committee's work over the past year.
Ng had earlier survived a vote of no confidence from lawmakers.
Pan-democratic legislators had accused him of violating the committee's rules of procedure in order to push through a government request for preliminary funding for the development of two new towns in northeast New Territories. --RTHK
