Nikkei inches up at mid-day

Tokyo stocks rose 0.39 percent Tuesday morning, boosted by upbeat expectations for Japanese corporate earnings.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index climbed 60.11 points to 15,589.51 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section issues rose 0.14 percent, or 1.76 points, to 1,287.83. --AFP
