European markets down at open

Europe's main stock markets fell at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index losing 0.26 percent to 6,777.45 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 eased 0.07 percent to 9,727.43 points and the CAC 40 in Paris dropped 0.21 percent to 4,360.20 compared with Tuesday's close. --AFP
