(07-16 18:25)

Formula One championship leader Nico Rosberg has signed a new contract with the team.
Mercedes announced Wednesday that the 29-year-old German, who has been at the team since 2010, agreed to the "multi-year'' deal ahead of his home Grand Prix on Sunday.
Rosberg has a four-point lead over Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' championship, with half of his six victories for the team coming this season.
Rosberg says "it has been a difficult road to get to where we are now, but everybody kept believing and, thanks to the fantastic support from Mercedes-Benz, we are now leading the way in F1.'' --AP
