Former official testifies at Hui's case

A retired senior government official, Rita Lau Ng Wai-lan, has told Rafael Hui Si-yan's corruption trial that she wasn't aware that the former chief secretary declared any conflict of interest when he took over responsibility for the West Kowloon Cultural District project.
That's despite his background as a consultant for one of the bidders.
Lau, a former Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, who had also been involved in the arts hub project in 2005, took the witness stand Wednesday morning. --RTHK
